Mia, RN, BSN
Mia (she/her/hers) earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of South Florida in 2018, graduating Cum Laude. She spent the first years of her nursing career working in an Intensive Care unit before transitioning into the mental health field. Mia has always had a passion for this field of nursing, and strives to continually provide compassionate care, therapeutic services, and to advocate for all patients experiencing any kind of mental health crisis. Mia is currently enrolled in Walden University to obtain her Master’s degree and Nurse Practitioner license, specializing in Psychiatric-Mental Health Advanced Practice. When not working, Mia loves to travel and explore new places, hike with her dog, and work on her garden.
Reem (she/her/hers) is an Associate Clinical Social Worker with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. She has earned a Master of Arts in social welfare with an emphasis in strengthening children, youth, and families from University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from University of La Verne. Reem has over four years of experience working in the mental health field ranging from toddlers to adults. She is skilled at providing therapeutic interventions, motivating, communicating, and advocating for patients dealing with mental health, co-occurring disorders, and those experiencing psychosis. Reem has a strong understanding of the theory and practice of cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. She has prior experience in various settings from community treatment, residential treatment, and school treatment which aids in her ability to connect with patients and their families across settings. In her spare time, Reem loves hiking, yoga, cooking and spending time with her family.
Ryann, RN, BSN
Ryann RN, BSN
Ryann (she/her/hers) earned her first Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She then attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she earned her second Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She spent the first years of her nursing career working at Massachusetts Eye and Ear/Massachusetts General Hospital as a RN in Otolaryngology before transitioning into behavioral health. Ryann has worked with patients who suffer from psychosis, mood disorders, and substance abuse. Ryann has always had a passion for this field of nursing and seeks to provide a therapeutic and safe environment for all patients undergoing a mental health crisis. While not at work, Ryann enjoys traveling, reading, yoga, and spending time outside with her dog.
Ammie has a Masters in Social Work Degree from San Diego State University and has been working with youth and families for over 15 years who are involved in Child Welfare Services (CWS) and have a history of substance abuse and/or mental health along with traumatic experiences. Ammie also has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and has experience working with youth who are dual agency involved with Juvenile Probation/CWS. Currently, Ammie is working towards Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure. In her spare time, Ammie enjoys visiting San Diego parks and beaches with her family and planting in her garden.
Elena Y. H., AMFT
Elena is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. She has earned her Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Phillips Graduate University. Elena has worked in the field of mental health for the past 10 years. She is knowledgeable at providing diverse population with appropriate mental health services including adult mental health assessments, case management, and individual and group counseling services for adult populations. She is also, skillful at interacting with culturally diverse populations in a courteous and effective manner. Her work experience has helped her develop a passion for helping individuals and families by connecting them with appropriate community agencies to receive proper treatment that will help to improve their quality of life. In her spare time, Elena loves to spend her time hiking and reading. She also loves to spend time with her family and friends.
Dr. Melinda L., Ed.D, CADC-CS
Melinda is a Registered Psychological Assistant with the California Board of Psychology, Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor-Clinical Supervisor with the Board of California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals, and a Retired United States Navy Hospital Corpsman. She earned her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. Melinda has worked in the Helping field for roughly 20 years, assisting, supporting, and guiding individuals and families from diverse communities who struggle with addiction and co-occurring disorders.
Jasmine T., Peer Support Specialist
Jasmine has an Associate’s Degree in Product Development and is currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health Sciences. She possesses a background as an advocate for mental health, mentoring youth, and as a community volunteer at outreach events. A quote that is special to her is, ” In times of stress, the best thing we can do for each other is to listen with our ears and our hearts and to be assured that our questions are just as important as our answers”, Mr. Rogers. Her favorite hobbies are painting, crafting, and traveling with family.
Angelica obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from San Diego State University. Angelica spent 10 years providing crisis intervention, case management, and risk assessments to a diverse population of children and families. Currently, Angelica is working towards earning her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. In her spare time Angelica enjoys being with her family and reading.
