Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)
ECT is a proven and safe non-invasive medical procedure that has been shown to be effective in relieving the symptoms of severe depression and other debilitating mental health conditions. ECT is performed on patients who are placed under general anesthesia, in which small electric currents are passed through the brain, intentionally triggering a brief seizure.
This seems to cause changes in brain chemistry that can quickly reverse symptoms of certain mental health conditions. ECT often works when other treatments are unsuccessful even after the full course of treatment has been completed.
Paradise Valley Hospital will start providing ECT by the late Spring/early summer of 2024.
Drug Rehabilitation
We offer chemical dependency support for those people suffering from either substance abuse and/or dual diagnosis issues.
