Paradise Valley Hospital has achieved the distinct honor of being listed on the Patient Safety Honor Roll by the California Health and Human Services Hospital Compare website. Not only has Paradise Valley been listed on the Honor Roll—our hospital has been named as one of the seven “Tier One” honor roll hospitals in California.

In order to be listed on the Patient Safety Honor Roll, hospitals must have high achievement ratings across 12 patient safety measures, and no ratings below the 10th percentile. The patient safety measures include hospital acquired infections, sepsis management, and patient experience. Tier One hospitals must achieve all this—and hold a Leapfrog Group “A” Patient Safety rating for at least three consecutive seasons. Paradise Valley Hospital has held an “A” grade for seven consecutive seasons over the past three years. Paradise Valley Hospital is also a Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence award winner for the past 10 consecutive years (2014-2023).

Paradise Valley Hospital is one of four Prime Healthcare hospitals listed on the Honor Roll, and the only Prime facility listed as a Tier One hospital.

“This is a testament to the hard work and expertise of the nurses, doctors, and staff at Paradise Valley Hospital,” says PVH Chief Nursing Officer, Gemma Rama-Banaag. “We are a small hospital, but we’re performing at the same level or higher than larger healthcare facilities who have a lot more resources to draw from. This tells me that the people that work here at Paradise Valley Hospital are dedicated professionals who are passionate about our mission to provide excellent care for our patients. I could not be more proud!”
